The Department of Psychology at Florida State University (FSU) invites applicants for a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology. Area of specialization/research interest is open.
FSU is classified as a Carnegie R1 (Very High Research Activity) institution and ranks in the top 25 of National Public Universities (U.S. News & World Report). The Department of Psychology faculty pursue active programs of research, producing high-impact findings and mentoring students in Ph.D. programs in clinical, cognitive and cognitive neuroscience, neuroscience, social, and developmental psychology. The department has an outstanding research infrastructure, with each faculty member having a dedicated laboratory suite, and a fully-staffed electronics and machine shop. FSU has a state-of-the-art research-dedicated MRI center featuring a 3T Siemens Prisma scanner, an MR-compatible high-density EEG system, MR-compatible TMS and tES systems, as well as peripheral equipment. Faculty have access to core equipment and resources (e.g., a confocal microscope and common-use histology/molecular laboratory in the building and numerous other shared resources across the department and campus). The department has a highly favorable teaching load and a collegial atmosphere.

A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or closely related field is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong research program, high likelihood of obtaining extramural funding, potential for excellence in teaching and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students, and the ability to train graduate students in our APA-accredited clinical psychology program.
