Both majors are science-based, meaning that the material taught in our classes is based on the findings of carefully conducted scientific research and that students are taught how to apply critical scientific thinking to their work and even personal lives.
Robust Community Outreach
The department serves the larger Tallahassee community and the surrounding areas through three affiliated mental health clinics, which also provide research and training opportunities for advanced doctoral students. The department also conducts research through a number of other institutes and centers.
