Lab Description
The Development of Anhedonia and Internalizing Symptoms in Youth (DAISY) Lab studies why some young people with significant anxiety have difficulty experiencing pleasure, motivation, and positive emotions. Our research integrates neuroscience (fMRI, EEG, and tES) with clinical intervention science to better understand the development of anxiety and anhedonia and improve treatment for youth. Specifically, we examine how these challenges emerge during adolescence, how they contribute to anxiety, depression, and other internalizing symptoms over time, and how to develop more effective, personalized interventions.
