Dr. Bonner’s research focuses on developing and evaluating interventions that create more nurturing environments for young people. For example, one area involves assessing and treating severe problem behavior displayed by children with developmental disabilities. Another area focuses on enhancing early literacy in under-resourced schools. A final area uses family and home-based interventions to improve social-emotional learning and reduce challenging behavior in neurotypical learners. Dr. Bonner also has experience developing interventions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
