Attraction and Close Relationships (ACR) Lab

Dr. Andrea Meltzer will be accepting applications to be a DIS in her lab for the Fall 2024 semester. Research in the Meltzer Lab examines the psychological processes that underlie the human desire to obtain and maintain romantic relationships.   • Direct, hands-on experience running psychological studies, working with data, discussing research study design
  • Exposure to social psychological literature on attraction, dating, and long-term romantic relationships
  • Professional development and guidance on getting into graduate school

Requirements:

  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.2
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of two semesters
  • Ability to attend meetings throughout the semester (to be scheduled before the upcoming semester; currently held on Fridays at 11:00 AM)
  • Although not required, preference will be given to students who have taken and earned excellent grades in (a) Research Methods, and (b) Social Psychology
